Tongue Base Schwannoma: A Case Report and Literature Review

Background: Schwannoma is a benign tumor arises from Schwann cells of the peripheral nerves. Tongue base schwannomas are very rare and have been sporadically reported; it usually missed when evaluating tongue mass. This work aimed to report new case schwannoma review literature about this tumor. Case presentation: A male patient 40 years old presented with slowly enlarging mass at base. Clinical radiological findings highly suspected lesion. Trans-oral resection was done specimen subjected histopathological evaluation. Conclusion: should be considered for well-defined, painless, firm swelling
